Remember when Star_ was a prominent TF2 player? Well, back then, he would do videos called, "Discomfort Zone", where he would use weapons he normally wouldn't use, basically getting out of his norm. I've decided I'll try this out, since it has been awhile since the last TF2 talk. And where better to start, than every Soldier main's favorite secondary, The Gunboats.
It's not that I hate the Gunboats; in fact I've grown to love them more as I used them. It's the fact, I need a shotgun. There's usually about 50 pyros on the enemy team and at least one of them knows how to air blast. Bullets deter them. Also, I run into situations where I die, and say "Had I had a shotgun, I'd be alright".
As I said earlier though, I've grown to love them. As some one who loves to chain his jumps,it feels good not to lose a lot of health. It also compensates for when you fail a shot. And I know it doesn't help with performance, but I feel like I just fly farther, and can chain better.
